These are their person's notes on our session:
QUESTIONS FOR BEEMER:
(BEEMER WAS AFRAID THAT LAURA WAS GOING TO BITE PART OF HIS BRAIN OUT WHEN SHE TOLD HIM SHE COULD HEAR HIM. SHE TOLD HIM NO, AND HE WAS OK AFTER THAT)
DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR LEG AND THE SURGERY?

Dante said to me, "Before I talked to you I just thought humans were a different species than dogs and that they didn't have a clue. Now I know humans just know different things than dogs."
George asked me, "Can you touch the stars?" I told him I wasn't sure and asked him if he could touch the stars. George replied, "I think I could if my mom (person) would let me climb up on the roof".

"I need more to eat. And I want some kind of treat that I can take away and eat all by myself. Even though I am small, I need a big bowl and a big bed."
Yogi is on the left and Sula is on the right.
Yogi talking about Sula: "I not sure about this puppy invading my quiet domain. I know he is dad's, and we are only babysitting, but he is wearing me out."
Sula saying to Yogi: "Can we just play and be friends, I am not a threat to you."
This is Pissant. She was peeing outside her litter-box. I had to explain to her why she was in the basement. She was very upset and said, "I need to be with my mom to hear the music and watch the dancing." It took some contemplating on her persons part when she realized Pissant was talking about watching Dancing With The Stars. Pissant is no longer peeing outside her litterbox and her and her mom are able to watch TV together once again!
My grandmother has been very sick. Because the family has been busy taking care, Rosey has not been on her normal walk schedule. She says, "This is the first time, I haven't wanted to read people's minds. Every time I do I also get worried. I told Chewy about it
and he said, 'Then don't read their minds. Lets go outside and walk ourselves.'... So we did."
CHEWY
This was written by Lammy's adult person, "Lammy told Laura that until recently she didn't know she's a dog. That is so very possible because I have only had cats and this is the first dog in our family for 5 generations. Then Lammy went on to say she didn't know what her purpose was... I think this was Lammy picking up on my confusion and despair since my husband passed away recently (6 months before I rescued Lammy) and I have been feeling that I have no purpose.
Meeting with Laura has given me such a different view of my first dog... reminding me she has a mind and thoughts. And she loves the flower crowns my granddaughter makes for her!"
Lilly says, "I'm very spiritual, I like bhajans. I'm going to live to be 102 years old. I like living alone, but if they don't have a home, they can live here."

"Are there flowers during the winter time in Chicago? If not, where do the bees go?"
JOEY: "I have noticed that when people are walking by their footsteps are louder than usual. They should walk quieter. People would be less confused if they looked just outside themselves. I think they should eat well too. There is more garbage in the yard. I don’t think fruit comes in wrappers right?"
MAIA: "I think the best way to stay happy to help each other. I have a new friend that helped my body and she didn’t want money for it. I am very thankful. Getting rest is important too."
MAKIA: "The one way to stay happy and healthy is to study what you love to do. Otherwise you talk about all the bad things happening and you forget about how powerful you are. Everyone is smart, just smart at different things. I am very experienced at meditation. I am good at asking the angels to keep the bad energy away from our family and to surround us in their light. It’s a big job! Asking for help is important."
STORM: "Remember to play. Try to calm yourself before you get angry. If you do act angry say you’re sorry. You can say sorry to yourself, who you got angry at, or to an angel if you’d like. Drink water or you will be clogged. Let your friends love you and make you laugh."
SERAFINA: "Maybe people should spend more time looking at birds and flowers. I always feel refreshed after I watch ants for a while. They are very busy and what they do makes sense. Touching a tree is helpful. Sometimes when people pet me I see everything inside of them. I think it would help people if they found a way to organize everything inside of them. Organized people seem happier."
BEAN: "The hardest part for me is trusting others while knowing who to stay away from. I think I have a really good idea of the difference. I just get scared. Maybe everyone should learn to trust themselves first. Eating healthy treats is fun too."

My brother is an investigative reporter for NBC. He is a four time Emmy Award winner and sixteen time Emmy Award nominee. GRANTS RANT is his blog. GRANTS RANT is his new project. I find it humorous as well as educational.

Harley has been my good friend for many years. He is highly intelligent. Every now and then he pees in the house. This time he peed in a room where his aunt (person) sleeps with her dog, Ranger. This way I thought Ranger would feel safer because he would smell me there....I forgot mom (person) doesn't want me to pee in the house."
